Start a Spark with Kelly Ann Gracia

At youthSpark we are passionate about igniting justice and inspiring change. This week we would like you to meet a member who believes in our cause and is playing a significant part in our organization.

Kelly Ann Gracia is from Brownsville, TX and majored in Art History/Visual Arts at Emory University. She interned with youthSpark for three semesters and is particularly passionate about foster care.

Why are you passionate about this area?

I feel that we have an obligation to help one another as fellow members of a community, especially our youth. Youth look to older generations for guidance and support, and they should always be able to rely on the community to provide that assistance.

Why do you support this organization?

Besides supporting a worthy cause, this organization is powered by people who care. My intern experience allowed me to see the heart and work put into this organization by all parties involved. It is not only inspiring, but assures me of ongoing success well into the future.

How do you ignite justice and inspire change?

I hope that by making important issues in our community topics of conversation, I can inspire a sense of justice in others.

The value of youthSpark to this community is….

…immense. The youth are our future. youthSpark not only provides services and programs geared toward the youth, but also tries to focus on many types of youth and find solutions for many issues that youth in this community face.
